I'd like to introduce you to my friend Max.
Max Wakoluk was a bright kid with a big heart and an amazing creative spirit.
He brought music to the streets of our town. His brilliance touched the lives and hearts of many.
He was diagnosed with Schizophrenia in 2005, and suffered with the disease for many years.
He did not let this disease disable him. Tho, at times, it was hard to be friends with him because of it.
No matter how tough life became, he continued to write prose, poetry, hundreds of songs, and a video game.
On September 30th 2013, my friend Max took his life.
He had just turned 29.
If you'd like to donate in his memory, we recommend the following.
National Aliance of Mental Illness Western Mass chapter.
Samaritans, a Massacusetts-based Suicide Prevention group.
We are also accepting donations directly for the Wakoluk family.
